Even though this was time for myself and I could be playing around it's one of the only things I don't mind working on and can complete without getting distracted by music or face book while they're on.
Picture taking and video editing can be a drag for some, but for me it makes so much sense and it comes natural: spotting a moment and taking it from a still frame to a piece of "art". During the summer break I've spend hours editing, going outside and taking pictures of trees in order to then play with them in my lap top. This has confirmed something to me-- I'm passionate about it- the idea of transforming scratch into something greater. |
Time you enjoy wasting, is not time wasted - Jhon Lennon
Do I really want to stay in an office 24/7 just to win a good salary?
With all that said, I don't want to pursue photography as a career, yes it's a skill and practice I want to have present in my life but as an additional that can help in all my works. This has opened my eyes to a must-have in my career choice: no creativity limits. I don't want to study anything completely limited by rules and theories, which are okay at times but not to the point were your ideas have a right or wrong answer. After all, being original and thinking outside of the box is the only thing that can set you apart today, in other words-- INNOVATING.
So what do I want to do? I want to be able to transform things, from poor scratch into an incredible product that can help, move and entertain people. When I gave my ted talk last semester I remember saying that I wanted to tell stories and by mixing visual media and writing I will be able to do this. |
